The International Day of Education Day is celebrated on 24th January to promote the significance of education in fostering peace. Brilliant Indian International School conducted a special assembly with the 2024 theme -Learning for Lasting Peace by students of Grade V and VI to commemorate the importance of education. The assembly commenced with the Islamic prayer followed by the school prayer, thought for the day and news update. Students showed the importance of education and their reverence for teachers with dance and musical performances. The highlight of the day was the confident speech by Mohamed Ayesha of Grade VI who spoke as Malala Yousafzai and inspired the students about her work in the field of education for girls. Ms. Abhisha delivered a thought-provoking speech highlighting the impact of education on society. Teachers in their classes, through discussions and video presentations, motivated students to be part of the transformative power of education. BIIS Grade VI girls as ambassadors for peace visited all classes and spoke about the theme for the day through dance ballet.
Principal Ms. Asha Shiju, in her speech highlighted the significance of education in building a strong society with values and inspired the students to promote peace through their actions and thoughts and be part of building a better future and a peaceful sustainable world.
